May 2010 - Our latest Newsletter is online.

Liz Colbourn is speaking next month at the 3rd International Meeting on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Istanbul, 9-12 June 2010. Topic of her presentation is "Mathematical modelling of pharmaceutical processes using neural and evolutionary computing techniques".

April 2010 - MacroPac v7.1 now released.

March 2010 - FormData v3 has been released - now with D-optimal designs.

February 2010 - We have established a relationship with Interface InfoTech Co., Ltd of Seoul, Korea, to distribute our software products INForm and FormRules. Interface InfoTech is a leading provider of LIMS systems to the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry, and we are looking forward to working with them.

InhibOx Ltd (Oxford, UK) and Intelligensys Ltd have established a partnership to apply advanced machine learning approaches, already successful in formulation design, to improve virtual screening and computer-aided drug design (CADD) efficiency. Read more here.

January 2010 - INForm v4 was released in early January. The main enhancement is the inclusion of Gene Expression Programming, a modelling technique that derives equations to fit to experimental data. Although these are slower to develop than are neural network models, they have the advantage of being 'transparent'. See here for the full list of changes in the new release.

December 2009 - Peter York and Liz Colbourn will be organizers and co-chairs of a symposium to be held at the AAPS in New Orleans, November 2010. The theme of the symposium is "Intelligent Pharmaceutical Product Design and Processing Using Data Mining Methods" and speakers include Professor M Turkoglu of Marmara University (Turkey), Professor S Ibric of the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and Professor K Takayama of Japan.

October 2009 - Liz Colbourn is speaking on October 22nd at a symposium to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Belgrade. This also marks the start of a collaboration with the group of Professor Svetlana Ibric at Belgrade.

May 2009 - MacroPac v7 has been released, bringing (among other good features) the ability to design your own container into which objects can be packed.

March 2009 - We are pleased to have been selected as finalists in the Open Innovation category in Yorkshire Forward's Innovator '09 competition.

February 2009 - Our latest Newsletter is now online, and the Formulating Knowledge website has a new look.

January 2009 - INForm v3.7 has been released. The main enhancements include a significant redesign of the Consult 'hub', with Best Match functions now in a separate screen, and a visual Explorer that lets you look interactively at the effect of hidden variables upon response surfaces. This makes for a more user-friendly interface, and the latest release has now been shipped to maintained users.

August 2008 - Our September Newsletter is now available. We also announce a significantly faster version of MacroPac, now with speed boost using a proprietary new algorithm. Read more about MacroPac enhancements here.

April 2008 - Our latest Newsletter is now on-line. And the list of papers that used our software has been updated.

March 2008 - DryAdd has had a major revamp of its interface, and has been rewritten with a new development platform that ensures it will run on Windows Vista. And it's now much easier for novice users, because a Wizard guides you through setting up a data set in just a few clicks. Read more here. Maintained users will be shipped this version at the end of the month.

October 2007 - Vista-compatible releases of INForm, FormRules and MacroPac are now available.
